Edgbaston Washout

This is just an excuse to use a super photo taken to illustrate the rain in Birmingham today, meaning the second day of the third test against the West Indies was called off without a ball being bowled.

This was going to be the start of a great weekend of sport, with the cricket being followed by Euro 2012 football and the Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix.

Closer to home, I'm meant to be umpiring tomorrow; but it's touch and go on if the match is on, and will almost certainly depend on if we get any overnight rain. If the match is off, I suppose I can always tidy my room.
